Dorothy, you were such a sweet, kind and gentle person and always made me feel welcome whenever I visited you. I remember coming to Chelmsford when I was just a teenager and you and Ron always made me feel welcome and your kindness wrapped around me like a blanket. Thank you for your kindness to a motherless teenager...you really made me feel loved.

Extracts from Jackie Harris:
We have very precious memories of your dear Mum, not only in the fellowship at Pentland Avenue but also as a wonderful midwife, calm, gentle, patient, reasuring and quietly efficient.
I shall always remember when several people had a variety of different problems and your mum said to me, "Isn't it onderful that we can pray for one another and know that our prayers will be anwered. What do people do who cannot pray?"
Extract from letter from Jackie Harris on 07/04/2010
Over the past 7 plus years I have been on a journey with my mum, experiencing role reversal and knowing that she depended on me for every decision. It is not until now that I have begun to revisit who my mother was and to appreciate what a kind and selfless person she was, with a true love for her Saviour and those who crossed her path in life. This site can hopefully help us all remember the person we knew as 'mum', 'auntie Dorothy', 'sister Dorothy', 'Dot', 'Dotty', or if you go back that far, 'nurse Mann'.
